  Wildlife Activity/Jungle Safari

A huge diversity of land exposes Nepal\\\'s fascinating diversity with the highest crystal mountains, terraced middle hills and flat plains from north to south. The dense foliage of the southern lowlands offers an exciting jungle safari tour with its rich habitat and population of wildlife a massif wild family. Certain areas of the southern flatlands have been declared as National Parks and wildlife reserves, which are preserving a unique ecosystem significantly valuable to the whole world. These National parks offers some of the most exciting safari destination in the world. You will experience the deep jungle on elephant back or four wheel drive vehicle and view wild animals in their natural habitat. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy canoe rides on the Jungle Rivers, take nature walks, go out on bird watching excursion, tour to villages, and witness firsthand the culture of the Tharu community.

Royal Chitwan and Bardiya National Parks and Royal Suklaphanta wildlife Reserve offer exciting safari holidays. The great Terai first is home to such exotic wildlife as the beautiful Royal Bengal tiger, the leopard, the sloth bear, the wild boar, the wild elephant, the great one-horned rhino wild buffalo, chital, a great variety of deer including swamp deer, musk deer, hog deer and mouse deer and some species antelope.

It is often said that Chitwan park is a bird watcher\\\'s delight, for the park contains a huge population of both resident and migratory birds like peacock, jungle fowl black partridge, duck and geese, king fisher, egret, falcon, vulture and others. The aquatic creatures of the Terai include crocodile, Gharial and fish.

The abundance of diverse flora and fauna in the Terai is in itself testimony to the fact that it is a virtual paradise for wildlife viewers and botanists. Another famous wildlife viewer\\\'s destination is the Sagarmatha National Park in the Everest region (3500 meters). Maybe because Terai is within easy access of Kathmandu and other urban centers of Nepal, tourists prefer to visit Chitwan Park more than any flow of tourists into the Terai has prompted many businessmen to set up tourist class jungle lodges in the jungle. So now there are more than a dozen jungle lodges in the Chitwan Park alone catering to the jungle adventures. The best time to visit the Terai is during winter months when weather is more temperate.
