Bardia Wildlife Safari (3 Days)

The Royal Bardia National Park lies in the mid-far western region of Nepal and is the largest as well as most spoilt wilderness area in the Terai. It covers an area of 968 sq. km. The park and a sub-tropical jungle is thickly forested  tress and carpeted with grass, savannah and riverside vegetation. The Churia boarders the north, the Karnali River the west, while the Babai river cuts its course through the middle of the park. On the southern fringes are the villages of the indigenous and unique Tharu people of western Nepal. Considered as one of the most picturesque national park in Asia, The Royal Bardia National Park teems with rich and diverse flora and fauna. The park is home of the exclusive Bengal tiger and there are 30 more species of other mammals, such as bears, monkeys, civets, hyenas, wild dogs, otters, wild boars, leopards and deers. It is a regenerated habitat for endangered animals like the tiger, rhinoceros wild elephant (the park harbors the largest wild tusker in Asia) and the black buck. There are more than 350 spices of birds which include the cormorants, egret, stork, geese, jungle foul, kingfisher, horn bills plus endangered species such as the Bengal florican, silver eared mesia and the saurus. The Park headquarters is about a four hour drive from the town of Nepalgunj which is linked to the Kathmandu by road (531 km.) and by air 75 Minutes.

Short Itinerary

01: Kathmandu - Bardiya    
Receive by jungle guide on the highway and proceed to resort. Arrive in the resort very early morning. Relax. Discover Tharu life and culture through our Tharu village/culture tour (B. L. D.)

02: Bardiya (wildlife activities)    
Whole day walking safari to view Gangetic Dolphins and swimming also possible.  ( B.L. D.)

03: Bardiya (wildlife activities)    
Exploration of Tiger territory by foot before lunch. Elephant back safari or jeep  safari in the afternoon. (B.L.D.)

04: Back to Kathmandu / Pokhara    
Bird watching tour will be carried out very early morning followed by the opportunity to relax or explore the surrounding villages again. After lunch departure to Kathmandu or Pokhara by a public bus (B)
